You do not have to join The Academy Club to buy from us. However if you have any interest in the adult-school, corporal punishment, maid or human-pet scene then it may well be worthwhile.
If you want to get involved, whichever end of the cane, or place in the household you want to be, then it most certainly it is worthwhile!
The Academy Club publish The Muir Journal, (see Books), which chronicles the events and personalities of The Muir Academy and Muir College and carries other relevant and exciting features and fantasies.
If you join The Academy Club we send, by ordinary post, the latest issue of The Prospectus of The Muir Academy, The Interview Guide, the current Muir Journal, then three more as they are published, a regular Members' Brief with scores of Member To Member advertisements from adult boys, girls and special girls and also from Schoolmasters, Schoolmistresses, and indeed 'special Schoolmistresses', etc.
Joining The Academy Club is also the first step to coming to Muir Academy for clases or as a maid. When you get the Member's Pack it includes Miss Prim's phone number, so you can arrange an interview direct.
You then send off the booking form with the deposit and prepare your uniform. If you have none then Miss Prim can lend you the basics usually (eg skirt and kneesocks for girls, shorts and long socks for boys). The details are all in the Interview Guide.
The next step is an interview with Miss Prim which is always done in Hereford, usually on a weekday, between 10 am and 4 pm. The purpose of the interview is to establish the mutual knowledge and respect necessary for you to take a full part as an adult schoolboy, schoolgirl or maid. Very few are told they are completely unsuitable.
It is essential that before you come for interview, whether for school or as a maid, that you have read The Prospectus, Interview Guide and Muir Journal thoroughly. There are no short cuts to this.
It will allow you to ensure that you really are excited by our kind of role-play, and that you can make all the physical, emotional and psychological preparations necessary to make the most of the experience.
Only interviewed Members of The Academy Club may come to the closed school-scene and other fancy-dress discipline parties we run.
Passing an interview also allows you to come to individual tuition, day and boarding school, mini-day schools, etc.
It is also the first step to serving as a Maid at Muir Academy and other events.
It is a good start to helping in Sir Guy's office as a secretary or clerk, though not an essential one.
